All objects in French are either masculine or feminine and they can also either be singular (just one) or plural (more than one). If the object is feminine/singular, we must also choose the article that is feminine/singular.

Key rule to remember!

French determiners must agree with the genre (gender - masculine/feminine) and nombre (number - singular/plural) of the noun they describe.
