Les Pronoms personnels
In French, just as in English, we can use pronouns to replace nouns. When the pronoun replaces the subject of the sentence, it is called a subject pronoun. The subject of a sentence is the person or thing doing something or it is what is being described. The subject of a sentence can be a noun (person, place, or thing) or a pronoun.

My class if fun.
She is nice.
The students work really well.
Mme. Jean speaks French.
Subject pronouns
In French, the subject pronouns are:

Je/J' (I) - (J' is only used when the verb begins with a vowel (I)
Tu (You)
Il (He) / Elle (She) / On (One)
Nous (We)
Vous (You)
Ils / Elles (They)
